5 Months Old

I can't believe Marcail is 5 month's old. Almost half a year old already. Where does the time go? She was just a newborn baby yesterday! Some days I get sad thinking of how fast she's growing and how soon she'll be grown and gone. BUT....I do my best just to enjoy the time I have with her now. Extra time cuddling and playing when I can. She is the best thing that's ever happened to me.

Subcontractors and hubby....UGH!

Ok, so I usually don't worry too much about the workers on the house beside ours most days, but they have been known to use OUR water and walk through OUR yard, even though it is private property now. So when I get home yesterday, Jonathan tells me that while he was changing Marcail, he could see these guys drive up to the house beside ours and dump out their equipment for the day. Apparently one of the guys then preceded to look at our house and try to peer through our blinds to see if anyone was home. Jonathan kept his eye on them and saw them head towards the side of our house and heard one of them say, we need a wrench to turn the water on. Hello - what?! So Jonathan put the baby down, went outside and sure enough they were trying to use our water (AGAIN). We had taken off the spickets to our water source, because he had major problems when we first moved in with subcontractors using our water. He asked the guy if there was a problem with the water at the house they were working on or the house beside it (it is still under construction) and the guy was like, oh jeez, I didn't know anyone lived here. Yeah right, especially because there's a mailbox out front and our freaking garbage can was still sitting in our driveway!!!! Jonathan told him to use the other water. I'm so mad. The reason I get a little upset with DH is because he is not assertive enough. I want him to tell them that the next time they try to use our water or walk through our yard, we're calling the cops on them. And now I want him to call the front office and tell them they're going to pay our water bill, because their subcontractors keep using OUR water!!! Sorry, girls, I just needed to vent. I'm just so frustrated with all of this. And of course, KB (our builder) keeps telling us that they can't do a whole lot about it because they have so many subcontractors. Whatever, they are just lazy!! Oh, and after all that yesterday morning, when I got home from work, I saw some subcontractors park right in front of our mailbox and dump their crap in OUR yard. Yeah. They had plenty of room in front of the house they were actually working on and they decide to park in front of our house and dump their crap in our yard. Ugh!!!

Hi all

Hi everyone. I thought that I would try and post something on my own journal. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, but thought I'd give it a go anyway. :) We had a very nice weekend down in West Palm Beach at my niece's bithday party. She turned 3 on February 15. It's hard to believe she is so big already! Marcail did not do well on the drive down Friday night. It's about a 4 1/2 hour drive from north Florida, so she was in the carseat for a long time. She slept on and off, but about an hour from my brother's house, she just started wailing. And she gets herself so worked up that she sweats like crazy and then chokes on her spit. It always freaks me out. But we make it there in one piece. :) We tried going out to dinner Saturday night, too, but that didn't go over well with the baby. It's really surprising that she has problems at restaurants, because she has always been around noise. Ever since she was born, we have never been really careful about being especially quiet around her during the day. But she cried and cried and cried at dinner. It was so stressful. Jonathan says we're not doing that again until she's older. Ugh. Our ride back home yesterday was much, much better. She slept a lot of the way and when she was awake, was very chatty with us. Much more enjoyable! :) We got home around 8:30, fed her and put her to bed. And she slept until 7AM this morning. I am such a nervous mom, and I have to admit that I'm more so since news of Gracie. I do my best to relax, but it's pretty difficult. I just want to keep Marcail as close as possible. Ok, well, I just wanted to try this out, so I hope it works! :)
